OUR HISTORY

Fountain of Life House of Worship was already conceived in the heart and mind of God. In the fall of 2003, God gave Minister Bert Russell the land here at 8838 S. Second Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. Shortly afterwards, in the fullness of time, God called Minister Russell to organize a church and, by faith, he and Lady Jeannette Russell obeyed the Lord wholeheartedly.

2003

On December 13, 2003 Minister Bert Russell met with a small group of followers and presented the vision he had for this church. A vision of a church that would Exalt the Savior, Equip the saints and Evangelize the lost; a ministry of love where all would fall completely in love with God. The vision was caught and the name of the church was decided upon: Fountain of Life House of Worship. The name was inspired by a fountain that was already on the property. On December 14th, the group met at the new church site to consecrate the grounds, 8838 S. Second Avenue, Phoenix Arizona.

2004

For the first four Sundays in 2004, while construction plans for the church were being made, the Fountain of Life congregation fellowshipped with Pastor Ronn Hale and the Carpenter’s House of Worship. Mid-week service began on January 7 at Fountain of Life’s own church site.

On Sunday, February 8, 2004, Fountain of Life held its inaugural worship service at the Marriott Hotel. After February 22, 2004, all worship services were held at Fountain of Life’s temporary location, Valley View Elementary School in the Roosevelt School District. Over 300 individuals united with Fountain of Life. Approximately 10 percent of them were candidates for baptism.

2006

Another milestone in the history of Fountain of Life House of Worship began on December 16th 2006 as the ground breaking ceremony took place for our permanent church home.

Again, we welcome you and thank you for your continued support of this ministry. Continue to pray for us. Bless you in the Lord.
