FAITHFUL, COMMITTED, HUMBLE

Affectionately known as Lady J, the First Lady, and beloved wife and helpmate to Pastor Bertrand Russell Jr. Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life House of Worship. Lady Jeannette is a native Phoenician and resident of Arizona. As a youth, Lady Jeannette attended Saint John Institutional Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor L. J. Dunbar. She was baptized as a little girl and has always been a faithful, active, and serving believer.

In 1982, Lady Jeannette married Bertrand Russell Jr. and they are the parents of two children, Maya and Kye Russell. They are also grandparents of two grandchildren, Aaliyah and Amir Russell. A few years after their marriage, they united with First New Life Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop H. L. Barnwell, where Pastor Bertrand served as the Minister of Music for seventeen years.

Over the years Lady Jeannette has served in many ministries to include: Sunday school, vacation bible school, children’s church director, usher, choir member, praise team member, and currently at FOLHOW as the director of Daughters of Promise women’s ministry and as director of Christian education.

In December of 2003 Pastor Bertrand was led by the Holy Spirit to give leadership to the newly organized congregation, which became the Fountain of Life House of Worship. As the First Lady of Fountain of Life House of Worship, Lady Jeannette continues to wear many hats and works in any area where help is needed. However, her most vital role is to work side-by-side with her husband. She works faith-fully to see the vision of the ministry come to fruition. Lady Jeannette says she has learned the importance of being a faithful, committed, obedient, and humble woman of the promise. She is a constant intercessor for the Pastor and the body of Christ.

Lady Jeannette is a graduate of Arizona State University and holds a bachelor of arts in elementary education as well as two master degrees from Northern Arizona University. Lady Jeannette taught in the public schools in Phoenix for many years and is founder and director of Kingdom Kids Preschool and Kingdom Preparatory Academy located on the campus of FOLHOW.

Lady Jeannette says her most important pursuit is to live a life that pleases God, honors Jesus, and submits to the Holy Spirit.
